A Short Story:
It is 2:30 AM in Gbagada, Lagos. The neighborhood is pitch black because there has been no "light" for two days. residents have turned off their generators to save fuel, so the only sound is the humming of distant crickets. A young man named Emeka is asleep in his flat. Outside, is someone looking for an easy opportunity—is quietly scaling the perimeter fence. He moves slowly, staying in the deep shadows cast by the mango tree in the compound, he knows that as long as it’s dark, the neighbors won't see him. The intruder drops softly into the compound and begins to creep toward the kitchen window. He thinks he is invisible.
He steps within 15 feet of the wall, and suddenly the Solar Motion Sensor Light snaps to 100% brightness. The intruder wasn't expecting it. In his mind, "No NEPA" meant "No Light." How to Install (Simple 3-Step Guide)
Step 1: Choose Your Spot
Find a location that receives direct sunlight for at least 6–8 hours a day. Optimal mounting height is 2 to 3 meters (approx. 6–10 feet) above the ground.
Step 2: Mount the Light
You have two easy options:
- Screw Mount (Permanent): Use the included wall plug and screw to fix the light to wood, brick, or siding.
- Adhesive Mount (No Drill): Because the unit is lightweight, you can use high-quality outdoor double-sided mounting tape for surfaces where you don't want to drill holes.
Step 3: Set & Forget
Press the white button on the front to select your preferred lighting mode (Sensor, Dim, or Always-On). Once set, the light will automatically manage itself based on the time of day.
The working time for this solar light depends on the Mode you select and the amount of Sunlight it received during the day. On a full charge (typically after 6–8 hours of direct sunlight), here is the expected performance:
Working Time by Mode
Mode 1: Sensor Mode (Most Popular)
- Duration: Can last all night long.
- How it works: The light stays completely off and only triggers for 15–30 seconds when motion is detected. Because it saves energy, it can easily last through multiple cloudy days.
Mode 2: Dim Light Sensor Mode
- Duration: Approx. 8–10 hours.
- How it works: It glows at a low level (approx. 10% brightness) all night and jumps to 100% brightness when someone walks by.
Mode 3: Constant Medium Light Mode
- Duration: Approx. 4–6 hours.
- How it works: The light stays on at 50% brightness continuously. This drains the battery fastest and is usually only recommended for areas that need constant light for a short period.
